Kevin is far from Chickentown this week, hiding in Minnesota with all the cool kids at CONvergence. So we have something special instead of our regular Flopcast programming. We're flashing back to DragonCon 2017... and we're going to court. Specifically, this is Classic Sci-Fi Court, compliments of the DragonCon American Sci-Fi Classics Track. Kevin was part of an elite dream team of delusional defense attorneys tasked with defending notoriously bad movies before a judge, jury, and roomful of giggling onlookers. And his movie was... the 1986 George Lucas turkey (well, almost)... Howard the Duck. (We do enjoy a weird challenge around here.) Up next was Fortress of Baileytude podcaster Michael Bailey to defend Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (all hail Nuclear Man!), followed by longtime Classics Track Irregular Geena Phillips with Batman Forever. (Actual quote from Geena's opening statement: "I can't defend the nipples.") You'll also hear grizzled court reporter Philip Schweier, gruff but lovable bailiff Michael Falkner, and of course, ruling over us all... Judge Joe Crowe. Were there any survivors? Let's find out. Cover yourselves, because the duck feathers are about to fly... |
